Many Ghanaian musicians feel the VGMA ceremony is a “disrespect and time wasting” to creatives – several have waged verbal attacks on the organisers.
Artists like Criss Waddle, Kwabena Kwabena and many more have expressed their dissatisfaction with the organisation of the award scheme.
Fellow colleagues like D-Black didn’t even feel the need to submit his work this year.
Kwabena Kwabena who also shared his sentiment about the ceremony earlier, said “the VGMA is a private party”.
Criss Waddle has expressly said he would even slap George Quaye 90 times if his Godfather, Paedae doesn’t win Hiphop Song of The Year for Nineteen Ninety.
And from the NKZ camp, Guru has also warned the organizers.
Shatta Wale is already enjoying his indefinite suspension.
